(CBS) Two days a week, 11-year-old Jonathan McCoy is at the gym with his mother.
But when this sixth grader is not working out, he is exercising another muscle of sorts, speaking truth to power.
"According to the definition of the n-word, an n-word will never be a lawyer, a doctor or a teacher," said McCoy.
CBS News Chief National correspondent Byron Pitts reports McCoy is on a mission to abolish the n-word.
"It is implausible that 40 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., that we still use this word that holds no worth in our lives and our future." McCoy said.

Motherhood definitely seems to agree with Jennifer Hudson, who gave birth to her first child, David – named after her fiancé, David Otunga – on Aug. 10.
"I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy," says Hudson. "Who better to devote my time to than my own child?"
From singing lullabies ("He can be crying at the top of his lungs and just turn off like a switch") to frequent bottle-feedings ("I’ve never seen a baby eat like he does!"), the singer (who chose not to address the tragic loss of her family members last October) offers PEOPLE an intimate look into her new life as a mom.
How hard was it keeping your pregnancy under wraps?
"David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there."Your son was delivered via C-section, what was your recovery like?
"Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others. By that night after I had the baby, I’m like, ‘Look, I can’t sit in this bed anymore. I’ve got to get up!’ I’ve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle you’ve never worked out before and it’s sore."Has his personality emerged yet?
"He has a lot of personality, like David. He’s always been a good sleeper. His favorite time to smile now is diaper changes. Or when he spits up on you – he just cracks up like he thinks it’s the funniest thing. And his bottle is his pacifier. With a pacifier, it’s like he knows, ‘Ain’t nothing come out of here. No, I don’t want that. Where’s the real deal?’ His best friend is that bottle; that’s all he wants."Would you be supportive if he wants to pursue a career in entertainment?
"We’ll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school. When life hands you divorce … turn it into a hit song?
That seems to be Usher’s strategy with his still untitled new album. He’s taking an equally adversarial tone in his lilting first single, "Papers," in which the R&B star sings that he’s ready to move on.
The tune, which premiered online Monday, references pivotal moments in Usher’s personal life, including his decision to fire his mother as his manager. "I gave my heart and turned my back against the world ‘cuz you were my girl," he sings, continuing, "I done damn near lost my mama/I done been through so much drama/I done turned into the man I never thought I’d be/I’m ready to sign them papers."
The singer filed his divorce petition in June, though sources told PEOPLE at the time that Usher, 30, and Tameka Foster Raymond had been living separate lives for months. The couple have two sons, Usher Raymond V, 22 months, and Naviyd, 9 months.
Usher’s sixth album will be released on Dec. 8.

I knew before I read this story that she was the woman behind this Scandal with Dave . Dave is a powerful man and women are drawn to that. It doesn’t matter the age or how they may look. Sure Dave may not be a man that women would have fling with but he is very rich. He is also honest guy and private he doesn’t flaunt his wealth everywhere namely like Donald Trump. It is a shame this man used Dave as a way to pay off his debt and legal bills from his divorce and he was a former producer for award winning 48 hours which a show on CBS along with Dave Letterman. Hopefully Dave can weather the storm this will bring. Just like Monica Lewinski she was a intern who I’m sure is very intelligent and knew how to move up the ranks in field of work. Former David Letterman assistant Stephanie Birkitt has emerged as the woman at the center of the shocking plot to extort $2 million from the Late Show host, but who exactly is she?
Birkitt, 34, until recently lived with Robert “Joe” Halderman, Letterman’s alleged blackmailer and a 48 Hours producer, according to multiple news sources, but die-hard Letterman fans likely remember Birkitt as the amiable assistant who often appeared on camera in silly outfits, yukking it up with Dave, who anointed her with nicknames including Smitty and Monty.
When Halderman allegedly handed over a package of potentially embarrassing information to Letterman last month – and threatened to go public unless he received a multimillion dollar payment – it reportedly included copies of parts of a diary and personal correspondence belonging to his then-girlfriend, Stephanie Birkitt, according to a search warrant obtained by FOX 5 News.The search warrant does not specify the contents of the diary – but Birkitt and her TV boss were undoubtedly close. A native of Plymouth, N.H., she graduated from Wake Forest University in 1997 and had already joined the Letterman team as an intern a year earlier, during her junior year. According to reports, after graduation she was accepted into the CBS page program and worked for shows including Letterman’s and 48 Hours. Congrats to both couples on the birth of there new daughters! Sarah and Freddie Prinze Jr daughter name is Charlotte Grace. Ellen and Chris Ivery daugther name is Stella Luna. Also congrats to Katherine Hegiel and the adoption of her daughter.
Sarah Michelle Prinze and husband Freddie Prinze Jr. are parents, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
The couple "welcomed their daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze on Saturday, Sept. 19," says a rep for the actress. "The family is over the moon."
This is the first child for the couple, who revealed that they were expecting back in April.
Freddie Prinze Jr. will star on the upcoming season of 24. Sarah Michelle recently changed her last name from Gellar to Prinze.

Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg To Star In Facebook Movie
Eisenberg will play site’s founder, Timberlake its first president in David Fincher’s ‘The Social Network.’
It’s official: Jesse Eisenberg will play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network," a film based on the creation of the social networking site. But he’s not the only rumored name now confirmed to be in the film. Variety reports that Justin Timberlake will also star in the flick alongside Eisenberg.
Timberlake will play Napster co-founder Sean Parker, who became Facebook’s founding president. Andrew Garfield has been cast as Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who had a falling out with Zuckerberg as the site became a financial success. The crew, along with director David Fincher, will begin filming next month in Boston before moving production to Los Angeles.
One of the film’s executive producers, Kevin Spacey, spoke to MTV News recently about the flick, speculating that it would begin filming before the end of this year, although at that time the details, including who would be directing and starring in the movie, had yet to be worked out.
Spacey did note that he was "enormously excited" about the film. "Great story for people that don’t really know how it happened," he said. "Very filmic, very modern, very cool."
Meanwhile, even as late as last week, Eisenberg wouldn’t confirm to MTV News that he was tackling the Zuckerberg role. Instead he opted to say only that he was still rumored to be attached to the film, which was penned by "West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin. At the junket for "Zombieland," he said, "They are rumors. That is true."

Movie Review For: I Can do Bad all by Myself

I saw Tyler Perry Movie I Can do Bad all by Myself with a friend today and we both loved it ! The plot is so heartbreaking but at the end you are cheering for April . I beleive Jennifer played talented young actress Hope Wilson did a amazing job ,I hope to see her in more movies in the near future. Gorgeous Adam Rodriguez was awesome! Of course Madea was hilarious!
Mary J Blige ,Gladys Knight , Marvin Wianas ,Brain White were great were a great supportive cast Along with Jennifer two young brothers in the movie. I believe this will be a another number one film for Tyler Perry. You will cry and laugh throughout the movie. It will be worth the money and popcorn.

LaLa who I remember from her days on MTV TRL she was a VJ. Well Mrs Carmelo has a blog and her own site called I am Lala . She recently posted pics of Her with Kelly Rowlands celebrating Labor Day.
Nothing like Labor Day spent by the pool with friends! My mom had Kiyan over the weekend so I decided to hang with Kelly for the afternoon. She rented some cabanas by the pool at this great hotel and we all had a blast. We ordered food, had some mojitos and margaritas, it really was a good time. Check out Kelly’s banging bikini body! LOL (I always joke with her about how great her body is!!)
